CleanJuice AA for Game Gear ( Now Shipping)

Upgrade your Game Gear from disposable AA batteries to fully rechargeable NiMH AAs with this drop-in USB-C rechargeable power board upgrade. Simply provide your own NiMH rechargeable AAs (or purchase the kit that comes with them) for up to 24 hours of gameplay on a stock system without recharging (at low brightness and volume settings).

The original Game Gear power board is notoriously poor quality and struggles with the demands of modern mods like the CleanScreen and CleanAmp. The CleanJuice AA replaces it entirely with a clean, modern power board featuring ultra-low ripple, over/under voltage and current protection, and a USB-C charging port that replaces the original DC jack — so you can recharge your batteries without ever removing them from the console.

Charge at any time using any USB-C to C or C to A cable and charger, and even reverse charge the console from your phone if it supports power share. That means you can charge your Game Gear while you're out, using your phone battery.

Designed and tested in the UK by RetroSix, the CleanJuice AA for Game Gear is the ultimate power upgrade for your console.

Features include:

• Drop-in / No-Cut / No-Tool install (screwdriver to open the console only)
• Ribbon Connector for CleanScreen V4 to support Upgrades and Apps over USB-C port of CleanJuice
• USB-C charging port replaces the original DC jack
• Off-the-shelf rechargeable NiMH AAs — no worry about custom LiPo batteries becoming unavailable in future
• In-built safety for over/under voltage, over/under current, thermal shutdown and more
• Safe recharge circuit which recharges your 6x 2,500 mAh AAs at a steady 600 mA — fully charged in just under 6 hours
• Safety charge cut-off after 6 hours
• Low battery indicator LED warns you when power is running low
• 34V turn-off physical switch
• Ultra-low ripple and clean power supply
• LED indicators for power, charging states and more
• Full plug-and-play and charge support
• Use with USB-C power or AA batteries
